Peter Bristow has been appointed to the board of trustees of Sisters of Charity Providence Hospitals.
Bristow is the chief operating officer and president of First Citizens Bank and Trust Company of South Carolina and executive vice president and director of First Citizens Bancorporation of South Carolina. Prior to this, Bristow served as a leader of First Citizens Bank’s Professional Banking Group, the bank’s wealth and management segment. He also previously served as branch manager and city executive of Summerville National Bank.
Bristow is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Woodberry Forest School. The Carolina Bankers Association named Bristow Outstanding Young Banker in 2002. He has also served on the boards of Junior Achievement, the Columbia Museum of Art and the Congaree Girl Scouts Council. Bristow currently is a board member on the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the Central Carolina Community Foundation and Hammond School, where he also serves as treasurer.
Bristow resides in Columbia with his wife Claire and their three children.
